Armacell to showcase insulation systems at InstallerSHOW 2026

Armacell will showcase technical insulation systems at Birmingham’s InstallerSHOW 2026. Products include pipe insulation, supports, protective coverings, and elastomeric foams.

IN Brief:

  • Armacell will exhibit its latest technical insulation systems at InstallerSHOW 2026 at the NEC Birmingham.
  • The company will showcase products including ArmaLight Tubolit DG, ArmaFix Ecolight Pipe Support, ArmaFlex systems, and Arma-Chek Wrap.
  • The portfolio reflects growing demand for insulation systems that support energy efficiency, acoustic comfort, durability, and sustainability.

Armacell will showcase a range of technical insulation systems at InstallerSHOW 2026, taking place at the NEC Birmingham from 23 to 25 June.

The company will exhibit at Stand 5I50, where it will present products designed to improve system performance, support energy efficiency, and increase durability across building services applications. The line-up includes ArmaLight Tubolit DG, ArmaFix Ecolight Pipe Support, ArmaFlex Fastlink, ArmaFlex Tuffcoat, AF/ArmaFlex Evo, HT/ArmaFlex, and ArmaClad Arma-Chek Wrap.

ArmaLight Tubolit DG is a flexible polyethylene insulation product developed for heating and plumbing applications. It is designed to support energy savings while improving acoustic comfort, addressing two recurring concerns in residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings.

ArmaFix Ecolight Pipe Support uses an environmentally friendly PET core and is designed to maintain insulation continuity at pipe support points. The product forms part of a broader move towards components that reduce thermal bridging, support installation quality, and offer more sustainable alternatives within technical insulation systems.

Armacell will also present products from its elastomeric foam portfolio, including ArmaFlex Fastlink, ArmaFlex Tuffcoat, AF/ArmaFlex Evo, and HT/ArmaFlex. The range is used across building services and industrial applications where condensation control, thermal performance, durability, and installation efficiency are central to system performance.

The company’s ArmaClad Arma-Chek Wrap will also be shown at the event. The protective covering system is designed to provide a fast and flexible outer layer for insulation, helping protect services installations from damage and environmental exposure.

Thomas Merton, product manager at Armacell, said: “We are excited to return to InstallerSHOW, an essential event for connecting with industry professionals and showcasing forward-thinking insulation solutions. Our product portfolio continues to evolve to meet the highest performance standards while supporting energy efficiency and long-term sustainability across the built environment.”

Building services insulation is receiving greater scrutiny as energy performance expectations rise. Heating, cooling, hot water, chilled water, and ventilation systems all depend on correct insulation specification and installation to perform as designed. Poorly insulated services can increase energy demand, create condensation risk, reduce comfort, and undermine wider building performance targets.

The transition to lower-carbon heating places additional emphasis on distribution losses and system efficiency. Heat pumps, district heating connections, low-temperature systems, and high-efficiency plant require careful attention to insulated pipework, supports, penetrations, joints, and protective finishes. In many projects, technical insulation represents a relatively small share of total cost but a substantial part of long-term operational performance.

Installation quality remains a persistent weakness across building services delivery. Gaps, poorly sealed joints, damaged coverings, inadequate pipe supports, and unsuitable product selection can all reduce effectiveness. Products that simplify installation, maintain continuity, and improve resilience help reduce the gap between designed performance and the condition of systems at handover.

Acoustic performance is also becoming more prominent, particularly in dense residential, hotel, healthcare, and education buildings. Pipework noise, water flow, and plant vibration can affect occupant experience even where thermal performance is acceptable. Insulation products that address both energy and acoustic requirements can reduce the need for later corrective measures.

Technical insulation is also being pulled into wider sustainability discussions. Manufacturers are being asked to improve product transparency, reduce environmental impact, and support circularity where possible. PET-based supports, lower-emission materials, and durable protective coverings are part of that shift, especially as specifiers look beyond headline thermal values towards full system performance.

Materials regulation and product confidence are becoming more closely connected across the construction market. Recent debate around changes to European concrete product standards has shown how specification, compliance, and market trust can quickly converge when material performance is under review.

Armacell’s InstallerSHOW presence will give installers and building services contractors a closer look at how technical insulation systems are developing around energy efficiency, acoustic comfort, durability, and sustainability. As building performance expectations rise, the specification and installation of services insulation will continue to carry more weight in the final quality of completed projects.
