IN Brief:
- WPPE has become an authorised Hiab dealer across Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky.
- The added range includes drywall and loader crane products aimed at construction and infrastructure lifting work.
- The agreement broadens Hiab’s regional dealer coverage while extending WPPE’s truck-mounted lifting portfolio.
Walter Payton Power Equipment has joined Hiab’s dealer network across Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky, extending its product offer in truck-mounted lifting and material handling. The agreement adds Hiab equipment to WPPE’s existing crane and lifting portfolio across the US Midwest.
The initial range includes the Hiab Hi-Pro 425 Drywall Crane, aimed at high-cycle material handling for drywall operations, and the Hiab 352E.8 loader crane, a heavy-segment unit with remote control and an outreach of 74ft 5in. Together, the two models give WPPE coverage across both specialist interior distribution work and heavier construction or infrastructure lifting applications.
WPPE said the new line will also bring access to Hiab features such as the Semi Automatic Folding system and Automatic Greasing System. In practical terms, that means faster setup and stowage, less manual intervention during fold-up operations, and reduced lubrication downtime on components that see regular movement and wear.
The move is also a channel story as much as a product one. Hiab is building out a revised dealer network, while WPPE adds another recognised OEM line to its regional footprint. For fleet buyers and contractors, the value is in local availability of equipment, parts, and service support through an established distributor network rather than a standalone product launch.
More information on the added range is available from WPPE.
