IN Brief:
- Merlo UK has appointed MSM DRH as an authorised construction dealer covering Worcestershire and surrounding areas.
- The move adds telehandlers, rotating telehandlers, and construction equipment to MSM DRH’s regional plant offer.
- The appointment strengthens Merlo’s dealer coverage while extending local aftersales support through MSM DRH’s existing engineering base.
Merlo UK has appointed Worcester-based MSM DRH as an authorised construction dealer, extending its regional sales and support footprint across Worcestershire and neighbouring counties. The appointment took effect on 1 March and brings Merlo’s telehandlers, rotating telehandlers, and wider construction equipment line into MSM DRH’s local offer.
For MSM DRH, the move adds a recognised telehandler brand to a business that already supplies construction, access, and materials-handling equipment. The company was established in 1974 and operates from Worcester, with an existing hire, service, parts, and fleet support base already geared toward plant and handling equipment.
The immediate practical shift is not just on the sales side. The new arrangement is designed around local aftermarket coverage as well, with factory-trained engineers and parts support forming part of the offer. That is an important detail in dealer announcements of this kind, because telehandler market share is often sustained as much by uptime, service response, and territory confidence as by the machine specification itself.
For Merlo, the appointment is another step in tightening UK dealer density in a market where distribution is still heavily shaped by regional service strength. For MSM DRH, it broadens the construction side of its portfolio at a time when merchants, civils firms, contractors, and infrastructure operators are continuing to favour suppliers that can cover sales, hire, service, and parts through one local channel.
