Machinetech adds Xwatch to UK safety range

Machinetech has added Xwatch safety systems to its UK offering. The dealership agreement broadens access to height, slew, and rated capacity controls alongside geospatial and utility-detection technologies.

  • Machinetech has been appointed an authorised UK dealer for Xwatch Safety Solutions, with the agreement confirmed at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026.
  • The deal adds height control, slew control, and rated capacity monitoring to a portfolio that already includes positioning and underground utility-detection systems.
  • It points to a tighter link between machine guidance, below-ground detection, and working-envelope safety on UK sites.

Machinetech has been appointed an authorised UK dealer for Xwatch Safety Solutions, expanding its product offer from positioning and subsurface detection into plant safety systems aimed at controlling machine movement and working envelopes on site.

The agreement was confirmed at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 in Las Vegas. Under the partnership, Machinetech customers will have access to Xwatch systems covering height control, slew control, and rated capacity monitoring. Those functions are increasingly used to manage machine risk near overhead services, in restricted work zones, and on lifting, rail, or infrastructure projects where movement limits need to be defined clearly.

The appointment is a natural extension of Machinetech’s existing range. Its own website positions the company around geospatial and excavation technology and describes it as the sole distributor in the UK and Ireland for RodRadar’s Live Dig Radar system, which provides automatic, real-time alerts for buried utilities during excavation. Adding Xwatch gives the business an offer that spans below-ground utility awareness, machine positioning, and above-ground movement control.
