Herefordshire names highways framework suppliers

Herefordshire Council has named suppliers for its highways works framework. The four-year arrangement is worth up to £95m across surfacing, civils, structures, and signals.

Herefordshire Council has appointed 14 suppliers to a new four-year highways and public realm framework worth up to £95m.

The framework will support delivery of highways and public realm schemes under the council’s mixed-economy service model, sitting alongside its new Public Realm Contract from June 2026. Tarmac has secured the largest single package, a £55m surfacing lot, while Eurovia has taken the £12.5m surface dressing package and Telent has won the £2.5m traffic signals lot.

Regional and national contractors will share the general civils and structures packages. Alun Griffiths, Octavius Infrastructure, McPhillips, Owen Pell, Cambrensis Civil Engineering, M Group Highways, Fitzgerald Contractors, Montel Civil Engineering, Velta Construction, and VolkerLaser are among the named suppliers, with the framework running until June 2030.
