Bouygues UK has been appointed lead contractor for the main works on Jersey’s Overdale Acute Hospital project through the island’s New Healthcare Facilities Programme.

The company was selected as preferred tenderer in November 2025 and has since worked with the programme team to finalise commercial terms and prepare for construction. The project will deliver a 47,500m² purpose-built healthcare facility, including an emergency department, six operating theatres, inpatient beds, critical care beds, and a dedicated women’s and children’s centre.

As lead contractor, Bouygues UK will oversee delivery of the hospital while managing the logistical constraints of Jersey’s island location. With mobilisation plans now being implemented, the project moves from procurement into the main construction phase for one of the Channel Islands’ most substantial public building schemes.
