SANY UK appoints Crowland for mobile cranes

SANY UK has appointed Crowland Cranes to distribute mobile cranes. From March, Crowland will handle sales and support across Great Britain, backed by a new Peterborough parts warehouse and stock deliveries including 60–150 tonne all-terrains, a 45 tonne rough-terrain, and a 60 tonne telescopic crawler.

  • Crowland Cranes will manage future SANY mobile crane sales in Great Britain.
  • A new parts warehouse is under construction in Peterborough to support delivery.
  • Initial stock includes all-terrain, rough-terrain, telescopic crawler, and industrial cranes.

SANY UK has entered a distribution and support arrangement with Crowland Cranes covering the mobile crane segment across Great Britain. The agreement takes effect from March and places responsibility for future mobile crane sales with Crowland’s team, while also expanding the aftersales structure for service, support, and product accessibility.

A new replacement parts warehouse is under construction at Peterborough to support the expanded role. The facility is intended to strengthen parts availability and response times and will sit alongside SANY UK’s existing locations in Coatbridge and Sittingbourne, extending the coverage model across Great Britain.

Service delivery is expected to be shared between the manufacturer’s UK engineering team and Crowland’s Peterborough-based service engineers, with joint working intended to support commissioning, maintenance, and field response across the mobile crane portfolio.

Initial stock shipments are scheduled to arrive at Crowland in the coming weeks and include multiple all-terrain models in the 60, 70, 100, and 150 tonne classes, plus a 45 tonne rough-terrain crane, a 60 tonne telescopic crawler crane, and a new 15 tonne industrial crane.

The arrangement follows site visits by Crowland personnel to SANY’s manufacturing operations in Changsha, China, including the No.18 Lighthouse Factory and the Mobile Crane Park, as the companies align logistics and product availability ahead of the March start date.

For UK fleets, the immediate impact is expected to be felt in stock presence, parts access, and support routing, with the Peterborough site positioned as the new hub for mobile crane distribution and support operations under the revised structure.
